In mother’s womb, an umbilical cord physically connects a woman to her child. 
This mother-child connection remains, even as the umbilical cord is removed. 
I sought to replicate the process of birth by twisting fabrics into a cord with the help of soy wax.  
This is an after-image of the untwisted fabric.
